Open call for the "Silence" project!
What is silence?
Where can we find it?
Do you miss it?
Can you stand it?
.........?
When we get rid of the noise - what is left when we listen then!
Project desciption
Silence is somehow something we lost ... especially in the urban and industrial areas.
We may have an imagination of it like "Silence is kind of an evacuated sound".
But silence is much more ... a state of the mind... the sound of death ... the presence of nothing ... or just the absence of your neighbour :) ...
We want to explore this and ask, how does it sound, how does it look like and how can we reflect and express it?
You are invited to participate on this project!
Please create an immediate sketch, that reflects SILENCE!
It can be a sound, a field recording, a drawing, a photography, a text or just an idea - quite simple, rough and authentic ...
We don´t want complete artworks!
Based on all contributions the UNOIKI producers will create an artpiece!
The result should be a mixture of a survey/documentary and piece of art.
We plan to release it as a CD or DVD, as a download and probably as a book depending on the material we get from you.
Of course you will be credited also!
